Originally from Southern California, David moved to Arizona in 1979.

David received his J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law in 1979.  He has been actively practicing in the greater Phoenix area for approximately 29 years, with the last 18 years emphasizing estate planning, business succession planning, and general business planning.

At the law office of Colby & Thornes, David drafts and supervises the creation of revocable living trusts and related documents, irrevocable trust and other business succession and estate planning documents.

David specializes in strategies to meet clients’ long term planning goals.

Megan A. Thornes, J.D.

Megan is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and received her J.D. from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.

Megan’s practice concentrates on all of the various issues surrounding estate planning and taxation.

At Colby & Thornes, PLLC, Megan drafts and supervises revocable and irrevocable trusts and related documents, limited liability companies and corporate documents.  She develops and implements strategies designed to facilitate the lifetime and testamentary objectives of her clients.  Megan specializes in estate administration issues and the preparation of IRS 706 Estate and Generation Skipping Transfer Tax Returns.

Greg Anderson

Greg joined Capitas Financial in 2013 and has 29 years of experience in the life insurance industry. As a Sales Vice President with Pacific Southwest Financial, a partner firm of Capitas Financial, Greg works closely with financial advisors to assist them in the implementation of appropriate insurance-based solutions for their high net worth clients.

Prior to his current role, Greg was a Regional Sales Director for a large brokerage organization. He has also held roles as a financial services consultant with State Farm; an independent insurance advisor; and he was previously the Western Region Life Marketing Director for New England Financial.

A graduate of the University of Montana, Greg currently holds his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations. He is also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

Greg has been married for 27 years and has two children.
